The basic design feature of the HP Scitex inkjet print head is a multi-layer structure composed of a very large array of piezo-driven nozzles, which are capable of achieving high-speed printing. The print head is extremely flexible: the multi-layer head, protected by a steel casing, is only a few millimeters thick and can be shaped into virtually any length or width.
